Who We Are

Justice and Economic Empowerment for Women and Girls Foundation Uganda (JEEWAG) is a feminist, key population, and sex worker-led non-profit organization. Established in January 2015 and legally registered in 2017, JEEWAG is dedicated to championing social protection, health equity, and human rights for female sex workers and diverse key populations living and working around rural landing sites and islands in Uganda.

By integrating health, legal, economic, and environmental interventions, JEEWAG deploys a comprehensive, community-led model designed to dismantle systemic barriers, mitigate multiple social exclusions, and empower vulnerable women and girls to lead safer, healthier, and more dignified lives.
